Edmonton is a city renowned for its status as the "Gateway to the North" which was given in late 1900's as it served at a starting point for the Yukon Gold rush.
It is the capital city of Canada's province of Alberta and is home to the West Edmonton Mall which is, the second largest mall in the world and which has a huge waterpark along with many other entertainment venues. Also is the South Edmonton Commons, the largest outdoor shopping complex in the world.
